Rupee: 1901 Contemporary Counterfiet

Here is some examples of contemporary counterfiet Rupees of British India. The first one is 1901 Queen Victoria young bust Rupee. In the 1901 Rupee the Queen should have mature bust. See the image.

Interesting thing is I have another 1901 Rupee in my collection which has Edward on the obverse.

But the Rupees of Edward were first issued in 1903. So, they are probably contemporary counterfiet. They are not modern fakes as they have sufficient wears and nature of the wears are convincing enough to show that they experienced much circulation. I guess that the coins were struck using genuine worn dies. The coins are not cast. They are struck and have milled edge.

The coins have been discussed in World of Coins on this thread.
